Government of Canada strongly supports family reunification and given high priority in processing of these applications to make sure eligible couple live together without any restrictions.

 

Individuals coming to Canada as students, temporary foreign workers or permanent residents can bring their dependent spouse to Canada for the duration of their stay.

 

If you are Canadian citizen or permanent resident you have the right to sponsor your spouse, or common law partner to come to Canada if you are able to support them financially and make sure they don’t need social assistance from the government of Canada under family sponsorship program.

The Express Entry is handled by the Canadian government. The office that oversees the Express Entry is the Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Yes, CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) and IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) are the same. The CIC was renamed as IRCC in 2015.
